KNPU has expanded various activities as university to bring up
globally prepared police leaders through world-wide cooperation
with global universities. Among them, global exchange program
takes significant parts in realizing global networks.
KNPU
has expanded its academic networks with diverse foreign
universities.
As selected students as exchange students,
they have opportunities to study and have cultural experience at
KNPU for one semester or one year. All courses for the exchange
students are provided in English.
The courses involves
psychology of crime, crime prevention, cyber crime investigation,
etc. Through these studies, they will have deeper understanding
about issues related with Korean policing. Depending on the
reciprocal understanding,
exchange students can be
accredited about their study.
For easier adaptation in our
country, we also provide Korean Language class and mentoring
program with various study visit to attractive places. In
additioin, students can have chance to learn and get belts of
various martial arts class such as Taekwondo, Kendo, Judo and
Aikido.
KNPU offers various programs for invited students, not only for police study but also for friendship promotion. There is a KNPU students’ club for supporting the exchange students called IF(International Friends). The members of IF help exchange students to adapt Korean culture and KNPU without difficulty through joining cultural programs such as Seoul tour, Picnic, Korean Folk village tour, etc. We also give mentoring service program by designated faculty or students for rapid adaptation.

KNPU also has the exchange faculty program with
institutions abroad. We exchange faculties and they teach some of
classes and share academic knowledge or attend
international seminars.
Before 2014, KNPU usually sent
Martial arts instructors to China and Turkey. However, KNPU has
decided to open this
program to other faculties in the
field of laws, police science and public administration.
